I got this strange idea in my head as I was organizing my things over the summmer. I have a large stack of photos that I don’t need. They are mostly doubles and triples of photos taken of family events, vacations, etc. What to do with all these? Throwing them out was too easy. This is craft material, surely. I used the back side of some of them as scrap paper to write grocery lists on, but it would take me years to use them all up that way.
So I started thinking. How well would this stuff work as yarn? Can I turn them into something? I decided to give it a try.

I trimmed the corners of the photo.

I cut it into a continous strip about 3/16ths of an inch or so.

I crumpled the strip in my hand to make it more pliable.
Then I cast on. We’ll see what happens. Maybe I can make bowls.
Thanks for reading this far.
