I am originally from New York City and have been living in Seattle since 1997. I’ve been knitting since 1998 and spinning since 2009.

I have a fine arts background and somewhere along the way I stopped carrying a sketchbook and pen and started carrying yarn and needles.

I spend most of my free time knitting, spinning and designing. I have tried crochet (that didn’t go well, but I haven’t entirely given up), am interested in weaving and also have some tatting shuttles. I occasionally spin on drop spindles and I received a book charkha in 2010. I haven’t quite gotten the charkha thing right yet.

I am amazed by the richness and depth of the fiber community in all its forms and mediums. I’m overjoyed to be part of it. There is enough to learn and create to last several lifetimes.
